International Creative Drama in Education Seminar and Congress aims to bring together everybody who works in creative drama in our country and to contribute to the formation of new learning environments. The 17th Congress which will be held in Istanbul in September 2010 will concentrate on “Social Consciousness-Raising Through Creative Drama”.
In 17th International Creative Drama in Education Seminar and Congress, we aim to discuss how creative drama is employed in education and in different disciplines, to specify the problems experienced in these disciplines and to bring about solutions (in studies based on creative drama) to these problems. We wish to share and amplify the practices and models based on creative drama that contribute to individuals’ becoming aware of the problems around them, to define them, to convey the responsibility of being an individual from individuality to the social fields, in other words, to develop a critical outlook to the facts of the society and the world in which they live, and to transform what is available, that will provide practices for independence.
17th International Creative Drama in Education Seminar and Congress is planned as a platform in which creative drama will be discussed in its dimensions of Research, Practice, Theory, Problems, Innovations, Methods, Techniques in which it is related to different disciplines, in which knowledge and experiences are shared.
You can participate at the congress with a paper or poster presentation, or you can participate in the workshop or the roundtable meeting.
