Paper Writing and Presentation Guidelines

Papers are scientific studies that provide participants with the opportunity to verbally share the results of theoretical, empirical, or applied studies related to the congress theme within an academic environment. Papers are evaluated by being sent to a jury consisting of two referees; based on this evaluation, a decision of acceptance or rejection is made regarding whether the paper can be presented within the scope of the congress. The points to consider in the preparation, application, and presentation of papers are as follows:

Paper Abstract and Application Guidelines

  • Papers submitted to the International Congress on Education in Creative Drama must be original in nature and must not have been presented or published anywhere before.
  • The selected topic must fall within the scope of the subjects specified in line with the congress theme; it must be addressed using scientific methods; and it must present original findings that will contribute to the field.
  • Paper abstracts must be a minimum of 250 and a maximum of 500 words. The abstract text should summarize the rationale of the research, the methodology used, and the main findings in a few sentences. The conclusion section must emphasize the study's contribution to the field.
  • Paper applications must be submitted through the official application page of the congress (this website) along with the paper abstract text.
  • When applying, the authors' first and last names must be written without specifying any academic titles. Additional authors can be included by clicking the "add author" button (up to a maximum of 3 authors can be added; other contributors to be added must also be registered members of the official website and must share their User ID information, located in the user panel, with you).
  • Each participant may contribute a maximum of 2 scientific papers to the congress program.
  • In co-authored papers, one of the authors will be designated as the corresponding author (the person who submits the application via the system). This individual is responsible for submitting the paper abstract, keeping the other authors informed about the acceptance process, and completing early registration upon receiving acceptance. The corresponding author is expected to monitor the progress of the process. It is also the corresponding author's responsibility to check their spam/junk folders in case notification emails are misdirected.
