İhsan Metinnam

She completed her undergraduate studies in 2008, graduating from the Elementary Education Program at the Faculty of Education, Ege University. She completed her graduate studies in 2011 with a master’s degree in Creative Drama from the Institute of Educational Sciences at Ankara University, and in 2017 with a Ph.D. in Fine Arts Education from the same institution. Her research interests include the relationship between social justice and drama in education, creating cultural engagement through drama in education, the history of drama in education (pioneers, approaches, traditions, etc.), and methodological issues in drama research in education. She has taught drama courses at both the undergraduate (such as elementary and early childhood education) and graduate levels. She has participated as a presenter or trainer in numerous national and international drama in education conferences, seminars, and festivals. She has served on the boards of the Contemporary Drama Association and IDEA (International Drama Theatre and Education Association), both active in the field of drama in education, and led workshops at the European Drama Encounters (EDERED) held in Switzerland in 2015. Since 2025, he has served as president of the Contemporary Drama Association and EDERED. Between January and March 2020, he conducted research and studies in his field in Hannover, Germany, as a guest of the German Association for Play and Theater (BAG Spiel und Theater) and the University of Hannover. He currently serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Ankara University.
