
Nina Rinkinen
About
Nina Rinkinen is a Finnish theatre director, performer, dramaturg, teacher, and the artistic director of Teatteri Tuike in Helsinki. She graduated as a theatre director from the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in 2006 and has since built a diverse career in physical, sensory, and devised theatre. Rinkinen is one of the founders of Teatteri Tuike and has played a central role in developing its distinctive artistic language, including pioneering work in blindfold theatre and sensory theatre in Finland.
Her work ranges from multi‑sensory performances and innovative audience experiences to projects presented at festivals and events both in Finland and internationally. As a director and creator, she combines sound, movement, and embodied expression to explore new ways of storytelling that engage all the senses. Rinkinen also teaches theatre practice and has been recognized for her contributions to contemporary performance, emphasizing experiential and participatory forms of theatre.
