About the Workshop

This workshop will present a practical example of how drama activities function in enabling children in early childhood to gain awareness of sustainable development through drama in education, and to achieve learning outcomes related to ecological sensitivity and environmental literacy. In this context, teachers, pre-service teachers, and all adults who establish a connection with children through drama may participate in the workshop.

Together with the participants, the workshop will address the idea that children are active agents in building a sustainable future, explore what can be done to protect and enhance biological and cultural diversity in the world, and approach these issues through an inquiry-based perspective inspired by past human and cultural heritage.

Within this workshop, enriched through the components of dramatic structure and various drama techniques, a roadmap will be presented on how to plan a drama activity for children.
